Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2025 — Short version: we collect nothing.
1. Who we are
Setarys (setarys.xyz) is an open-source project providing browser-based network diagnostic and privacy analysis tools.
2. Data we do NOT collect
We do not collect, store, log, or process any of the following:
- Your IP address
- Browser fingerprint or user-agent
- Diagnostic results from any tool
- Pages you visit on this site
- Search queries or form inputs
- Device or hardware information
- Geographic location
3. Cookies
This site sets no cookies of any kind — neither session cookies, persistent cookies, nor third-party cookies.
4. Local browser storage
Our site uses your browser's localStorage to store a lightweight session identifier. This data:
- Never leaves your device
- Is never transmitted to our server or any third party
- Contains only: a random session ID, visit count, and pages visited within this site
- Can be deleted at any time via your browser's developer tools → Application → Local Storage
5. Analytics & Tracking
We use no analytics platform of any kind. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Matomo, no Cloudflare Web Analytics, no pixel tracking, no session recording.
6. Third-party services
When you actively use our diagnostic tools, your browser may contact the following services directly. These requests come from your browser, not our server:

These services have their own privacy policies. Nothing is triggered automatically on page load — all tool requests require an explicit user action (clicking a button).
7. Server logs
Our web server (Caddy) is configured with logging at INFO level for operational purposes. These logs contain standard HTTP request metadata (path, status code, timestamp) but are not retained long-term, not shared, and not used for any tracking purpose.
8. Data transfers
No personal data is transferred to any country or jurisdiction, because no personal data is collected in the first place.
9. Children's privacy
This site is a technical tool intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including minors.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Given that we collect nothing, significant changes are unlikely.
